Instead of spending the night and letting the yurt's woodstove heat the yurt and enable the roof snow to absorb heat, turn plastic, and then slide off in one dramatic whump, Michele scraped for the day while Rick watched and sort of helped a little. (Rick still dealing with a case of pneumonia.)
After the video's 6-second mark, the date is January 6, 2026. Rick is now also up, healthy and strong, warming the yurt inside with the woodstove and shoveling the non-deck areas, while Michele deals with the deck.
At the 33-second mark, the roof finally unloads due to the warming yurt.
